NextName allows fans to support her and her team
Chicago, IL, TBD, 2022 – Clayton, MO resident and University of Illinois volleyball outside hitter Kayla Burbage has officially signed a ‘name, image, likeness’ (NIL) deal with NextName which offers fans the opportunity to support her through the sale of her personal digital collectibles, also known as non-fungible tokens (NFT). The collectibles are robust media file with images, music, school logo, and playing statistics. Burbage directly receives the majority of proceeds from the sale of her digital collectibles.

After a stellar career at Clayton High School where Burbage earned many honors, was the No. 145 overall recruit in Prep Volleyball’s Class of 2021 rankings, was named to the 2020 JVA All-National Team, was a 2020 Prep Volleyball Senior Aces recipient, she chose to attend Missouri. As a freshman, she led the Tigers with 87 total blocks, including 15 solo blocks and 72 block assists and ranked third on the team with 211 kills on a .271 hitting percentage. Illini is thrilled to now have her on the team and look forward to her continuing success with the orange and blue.
